Woodrush

Kelly Shirey (lead vocals, guitar) and Jim Castaneda (vocals, vocal percussion, bass) of Woodrush have played together for over ten years, recently adding mandolin/guitar player, Brian Rockwell. Their ten years of experience includes performances at festivals, bars, coffee houses, restaurants, clubs, casinos, wineries/breweries, corporate events and weddings.

Woodrush plays a variety of favorites in addition to their original songs and knows how to draw a crowd. Guest musicians (drums, lead guitar) are also known to appear at shows when appropriate to enhance the sound and feel of the performance.

Woodrush has been compared to Jack Johnson, Guster, and the Bare Naked Ladies. Compelling melodies and vocal percussion are infused into well-crafted original songs and makes the Woodrush sound different from the average band. Their rich, melodic vocal harmonies stay with you.
