Tina Lear

Tina Lear has been writing music since she could put together a decent sentence. Trained early in classical piano, she started writing songs at age 14. As a professional singer/songwriter she produced three CDs: Classified Ads (1994), Full Moon, Big Circle (1998) and
The Road Home (2000), which have received airplay on over 100 public, college and commercial radio stations nationwide. Tina
has been featured at Seattle's Northwest Folklife, Austin's South By Southwest Film Festival and Conference (SXSW) and the Nashville New Music Conference. In 1999, she began collaborating with Elise Forier and writing music for the theatre. Since then, the Lear/Forier team have completed three family musicals and are working on two more. Cathy’s Creek, one of their musicals, was published by Dramatic Publishing in 2005. In 2007, she received her MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU (Tisch School of the Arts). She is a proud mother of three. She and her partner live on Long Island (NY), where we need more Trader Joes!
