The
Brazilian singer, songwriter and producer Rafael Cury started his
career in 1995 as the lead singer of a local band and also as engineer
in his own studio named Hi-Fi. In 1998 Rafael moved to Los Angeles,
California, he graduated as a recording engineer at Musicians Institute,
where he also had vocal lessons with Carol Rogers and Chuck Plaisance.
Rafael has worked with many bands such as Dillo D’Araujo &
Crocodillo Gang, Celso Salim and Carol Fazu, and also the Doors,
Black Crowes and ZZ Top tribute bands. Nowadays he is releasing
his debut solo album “Trapped in the Past” (GRV discos),
which was produced with Celso Salim. One of the songs from the álbum,
“Ballad for the lost boy”, was a semi-finalist in the
UK Songwriting Contest 2008.
