Paden West

"Take a dose of Dave Matthews, Jeff Buckley, Willy Porter, Al Jarreau and John Mayer and you'll begin to describe the crossover music of Paden West. At 19, Paden is an outstanding guitarist and vocalist whose intricate melodies, infectious rhythms and personal energy make for dynamic performances.

Paden was chosen to perform in the 2006 Performing Songwriters' Showcase at the Berklee Performance Center. Declining the opportunity to attend Berklee full-time, Paden chose to make his run at recording and performing. Following an intense year of songwriting, Paden was selected as the Youth Category Finalist for the 2008 Mountainstage-Newsong Western Region. He opened and closed their showcase at The Mint in Los Angeles on September 2nd to an enthusiastic audience.

Paden records in his home studio and plays all the instruments - self-producing his songs and releasing them digitally (www.padenwest.com). He plans to record his first LP in early 2009."
