Matt
Hatfield has been playing guitar and writing songs for 20 years.
His baritone voice and sincere style have made him widely appreciated
by music lovers from his beginnings in the Blue Ridge Mountains
of West Virginia and Virginia to his current residence in the Charlotte,
NC region. Largely undiscovered outside of tight knit musical circles
in the Southeast, he continues to hone his craft by playing small
clubs and coffee houses. He offers a tasteful interpretation of
the classic music of the region and brings to the stage a wealth
of warm and soulful original material. Matt's influences include
David Wilcox, James Taylor, John Gorka, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Steve
Earle, Guy Clark, Willie Nelson, The Dead, Bill Monroe, The Beatles,
The Allman Bros, Warren Haynes, John Hammond, Jr., The Black Crowes,
The Band, etc...
